Golden Syrup Recipe

I will tell you the simple and easy recipe for this syrup. Just follow these steps and do it at home.

How do I prepare it?

  • First of all, take a saucepan. Add ½ cup of sugar and ¼ cup of water to the pan. Cook it over low heat until the sugar has dissolved properly.
  • Now, the sugar mixture has changed her colour. Then add 2 cups more sugar and 1 ¼ cup of hot water to the saucepan. Stir with a spoon to dissolve any lumps on the base of the saucepan.
  • Next, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the pan and mix them.
  • Then, boil over low heat for 20 minutes, or until golden.
  • Now that your syrup is ready, set it aside to cool completely. Then store the syrup in an airtight jar or container for a long time.
